Off-grid

No grid? You still have power: country cottages, highland homes, campsites.

Grid-independent solar for country cottages, highland homes, farms, campsites or caravans where power lines don’t reach: panels, an off-grid inverter and an LFP battery. Without the noise and fuel of a generator.

Start with an appliance list

Fridge, lighting, water pump, TV, chargers: which appliance runs for how many hours a day? The off-grid system is sized from this list.

The battery is sized for winter

In winter, days are short and cloudy days can come back to back. Battery capacity is set by the shortest days and how many days of backup you want.

Off-grid inverter

Converts energy from the panels and battery into 230 V outlet power. If needed, a generator input provides support during long stretches of overcast weather.

Caravans and boats

A standalone system is built with thin or flexible panels on the caravan roof, a small LFP battery and a charge controller.

Frequently asked questions

Will an off-grid system run a fridge?

Yes; since a fridge is a constant load, it is central to the battery and panel sizing. We size the system to your appliance list.

Is it enough in winter?

Yes, if the system is sized for the shortest winter days. In Adana, output in the lowest winter month is about 58% of the summer peak (PVGIS); in highland areas, snow and shading are assessed separately.
